About Us

What we’re about…

Kurbside Kitchen was established in 2015 with a very simple mission: take a fast food classic like the humble hotdog, and make it the best that it can possibly be. Ever since then our menus may have altered and expanded, but everything we have done has been with that mission in mind.

Led by a professional chef with 20 years of experience in the catering industry, Kurbside Kitchen’s focus is always on the quality of the food we serve. We are a little team with a lot of passion, and we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that our foods are made with high quality ingredients, are beautiful to behold, and most importantly that they are so gosh darn delicious that you’ll be coming back for seconds and probably thirds as well.

Over the years we have set up our kitchen in almost every scenario imaginable. We have cooked on country estates, by the sides of swimming pools, in pubs and museums, in fields and on beaches, in ruins and on rooftops. We have cooked in the baking sun and the driving rain, in snow and in hail, in gale force winds; and honestly the thrill of cooking somewhere new never gets old. We are an all-weather, all terrain outfit, and there is nothing we love more than a challenge. Apart from perhaps a really good meal.

It should go without saying that the thing we do best is serve delicious foods that you won’t be able to get enough of. That’s our main jam. But there is also much more that we are able to provide.

Our team have worked on events in all kinds of environments all over the world and we know that each event has its own unique list of challenges and requirements. We understand how important it is to be adaptable, flexible, and to be able to see a challenge as an opportunity for creativity.

We can offer bespoke packages to suit the individual requirements of your event, your budget and your venue. As well as the kitchen we also operate a fully licenced bar, and can help streamline your event planning by providing both food and drink services as part of one package. You want a cake that looks like a hot dog? We’ve never been on Bakeoff but we’ll sure give it a go!

Ultimately the thing we do best is listen to what you need and how we can help. so contact us today, we’re all ears.

Will – Head Chef, Bossman, Has No Chill

Will has been working in the catering industry for twenty years. From pubs to sea-faring vessels, he has traveled the world on a knife and a prayer and come back home full of fire, and a never-diminishing love of food. Never far from having his next big idea, Will has to be periodically reminded that he’s not actually a shark and can, in fact, stop moving. Kurbside Kitchen is his own precious demon spawn and he thinks of little else. When he sleeps he dreams of dancing hotdogs. When he wakes, he just carries right on dreaming.

Stef – COO, Handywoman, Mix-Master Flash

Stef does the team work that makes the dreams work. Also a world-wanderer, in the dark days before Kurbside Kitchen came into her life Stef worked in restaurants and bars all over the antipodes, she has been a waitress, a lettings manager, a yacht stewardess, and a personal trainer. She is logistics, she is planning, she is dollar dollar bills. She is beauty, she is grace, she can mix a wicked cocktail, and she makes sure we all eat breakfast and drink plenty of water.

Kat – Events, Secret Baker, Classy A.F.

Kat has worked in practically every role hospitality has to offer and has a wealth of experience in event planning and execution. She joins us most recently from The Ritz, so clearly she lends a level of class to the operation that previously had been sorely lacking. She is full to the actual brim with chutzpah and moxy, and probably also cheese, and a psychic once told her she would marry a man named John.

Lozza – Communications, Lyrical Gangster, Almost Good at Cutting Tomatoes

Working freelance in events and theatre for the most of the last decade, Lauren has been a part of event production on many different levels. She has a special way with words, so we’ve nominated her wordsmith, as well as second saucier. She’s never met a mystery novel she didn’t enjoy, she’s never eaten a meal without spilling a part of it on herself, and if you see her without a hot drink in her hand there’s probably something terribly wrong.
